Mado: Low-altitude aerial unit formed by Mone Natori and Mai Sasao. They develop a story-based circus-like performance in everyday spaces, as if looking into familiar places through a different window.

Fukurokouji: The artist draws a unique world of clowns by bringing to life various objects that surround our daily lives and weaving together trivial stories that abound in our immediate surroundings as they play with each other.

The KAAT venue is an open space and no booking is required.

    2 Setagaya Public Theatre

Venue: Setagaya Public Theatre, rehearsal room Date and time: 5 December 2024, 16:00-18:00

    Profile of performers

Room Kids: a juggling-based team that creates multimedia performance pieces. In addition to their magic and juggling skills, they all have strengths in technical aspects such as programming, camera, video production, lighting and sound. The team produces mainly performance pieces, but also video and VR works.

Mizuki Noseyama: After studying classical ballet and contemporary dance, she discovered circus. She left the world of dance and moved to Kagawa to learn the Silwheel. She is a rare artist who creates a sense of tension despite her pretty appearance, for example by crossing toe shoes with a silhouette wheel.

Aki Yoshida: After performing in a number of large-scale entertainment productions, Aki Yoshida turned her attention to creative work. She is a ‘creative aerialist’ who uses her aerial skills and her own circus apparatus to explore new forms of expression.

Tsubasa Watanabe: Incorporating elements of dance and clowning into his advanced skills, Tsubasa Watanabe creates diabolo pieces with depth. The diabolo, imbued with soul, is now more than a tool; it weaves its own unique world on an equal footing with Tsubasa Watanabe.
