Mirai Circus Networkについて
「自分でサーカスの作品を創りたい、発信したい！」と考える人が着実に増えてきました。ですが、創作や発表にまつわる日本での環境はまだまだ発展途上です。稽古場、創作のノウハウ、資金、公演機会など、それぞれの団体がもっている情報や人脈を活用できれば、可能性は広がり、クオリティの向上も望めます。日本の現代サーカスの未来の姿を思い描き、有志が集まって、横の繋がりをつくりたい。それがMiraiCircusNetworkです。
Miraiは日本語の「未来」。日本でサーカス芸術が今後、どのように進化し、発展を遂げるのか、その「未来」に伴走したいという思いから、この名称を選びました。日本語の音を残しながらアルファベット表記にすることで、日本の文化を込めつつ、世界中の皆さまに発音していただけるようにしました。
ネットワークの目指すことと展望
このネットワークの主な目的は以下の3つです。
- 現在の日本の現代サーカスシーンの「見える化」
- 日本のアーティストに創作と発表の機会を増やし、足りない部分を支援する方法を共に考える
- 海外ネットワークとのハブになる
ネットワークは具体的にプロジェクトを行ってこそ意味があります。データベース作成を1つめのプロジェクトとし、その後は国内外のアーティストの滞在制作受け入れ体制の構築や、ネットワーク主催の技術研修、ワークショップなど、持続可能かつ役に立つプログラムを実施していきたいと考えます。

- プロデューサーとアーティストの意見交換、ディスカッション
- アーティストのプロジェクトプレゼンテーション
ショーケースの開催（年1回）
- コアメンバーの拠点でショーケースを年1回開催
会員について
2024年よりMiCiNetは正式に始動し、会員を募集してまいります。
会員についての考え方は以下の通りですが、詳細は今後ワークグループにて検討され決定されます。

サーカス練習や創作の可能な施設を管理する団体、現代サーカスをプロデュースする団体、将来の日本の現代サーカス発展に役立つ広いネットワークを有する団体や個人などで、日本で現代サーカスを育て、発信できる環境をつくろうという目標を共有する、ボランティアベースの横の繋がり。
会員
アーティスト、フリーランス制作者、技術者など、現代サーカス活動を行い、ネットワークと関わりながら自らや現代サーカス全体の進化、深化を志す方。

About Mirai Circus Network
The number of people who want to create and share their own circus works has been steadily increasing. However, the environment for creation and presentation in Japan is still developing. By utilizing the information and connections that each organization possesses, such as rehearsal spaces, creative know-how, funding, and performance opportunities, we can expand possibilities and improve artistic quality. We want to envision the future of contemporary circus in Japan, gather volunteers, and create horizontal connections. That is the Mirai Circus Network.
Mirai means "future" in Japanese. We chose this name because we want to accompany the future evolution and development of circus arts in Japan. By using alphabet notation while preserving the sound of the Japanese language, we hope that people from all over the world can pronounce it.
Goals and Outlook of the Network
The main objectives of this network are as follows:
- "Visualizing" the current contemporary circus scene in Japan
- Working together to find ways to provide more opportunities for Japanese artists to create and present their works, and to support them in areas where they are lacking.
- Becoming a hub for international networks
A network is meaningful only if it carries out concrete projects. After creating the database as the first project, we would like to build a system for accepting artists from both Japan and abroad for residency programs, and organize sustainable and useful programs such as technical training and workshops hosted by the network.

General Meeting at YPAM (once a year)
- Exchange of opinions and discussions between producers and artists

- Holding showcase at the core members' base once a year
Membership
MiCiNet will officially launch and start calling for new members in 2024.
The concept of membership is as follows, but the details will be discussed and determined by the workgroup in the future.
Core Members
A volunteer-based horizontal network of organizations and individuals who share the goal of creating an environment in Japan that cultivates and promotes contemporary circus, including those who manage facilities for circus training and creation, those who produce contemporary circus, and those who have a broad network that will be useful for the future development of contemporary circus in Japan.
Regular Members
Artists, freelance producers, technicians, and others who engage in contemporary circus activities, and who aim to evolve and deepen both their own work and that of the contemporary circus as a whole through their involvement with the network.

The general public who wish and support the development of contemporary circus.
